Printable Electronics

There has been a significant increase in the level of development activity within the emerging Printed or Plastic/Organics Electronics industry.

An array of new technologies and products are being developed that will be able to meet the performance and functional requirements for replacing existing components and providing for a whole new range of applications.

There are many potential applications for PE but IPI  has segmented these applications into 3 major application categories:

    • Smart & Interactive Products & Packaging
    • Brand Protection & Anti-Counterfeiting
    • Energy Capture, Storage & Generation
‘Exploitation’ Programme Activities & Deliverables
....helping to accelerate understanding & to reduce the risks associated with the commercial adoption of printed electronics technologies
  • regular, easy to understand expert analyses of key technology & market developments
  • expert help in finding & exploiting the most appropriate technology & solutions for your applications
Printed Electronics Adoption Journal (PEAJ)

The PE Adoption Journal, published on a quarterly basis, provides valuable guidance to technology developers and potential technology adopters in assessing which technologies are commercially viable in which applications and within what timeframe.

It summarises where PE technologies (alone or when used as ‘hybrid’ solutions with conventional technologies) are being adopted and why.

An easy-to-use ‘traffic light’ system is used to show the status of commercial adoption and to summarise the progress being made in adopt various PE technologies in each main application area.

Identifying & Exploiting Innovative Printed Electronics Technologies

This is a bespoke service for all companies needing to:

  • identify and track the progress being made by the leading companies engaged in developing and marketing printed electronics devices and their associated processes and applications
  • keep abreast of printed electronic application trends, activities and implementation programmes underway worldwide with key industrial users
  • identify the ‘best’ technology and the most appropriate development partners to progress any internal development programmes.
